Saturday 15th March 2014 will be the opening round of the Big V Season. 

Melbourne University Basketball Club will pay tribute in this round to James Rapley, a club member who died tragically after being involved in an accident whilst overseas in December last year.

Melbourne University Basketball Club and James’ family invite all club members, and friends, family and colleagues of James to join us in remembering and celebrating his contribution to MUBC.

To Honour James' memory, a perpetual scholarship has been established in his name at Whitley College for a Rural Student studying either Engineering or Science at Melbourne University. All proceeds of the evening will go towards The James Rapley Memorial Scholarship. We will be accepting donations towards the Scholarship on the night. The Black Angel ladies will tip off at 6:30pm against Keysborough Cougars, followed by the men at 8:30pm vs Camberwell Dragons. After the men’s game we will then head to The Clyde Hotel for drinks.
