Melbourne University Basketball Club (MUBC) is currently seeking expressions of interest for the Head Coach position for our 2015 Big V Division One Men’s program.

This is an opportunity for a qualified individual to join the unique program at MUBC. We are seeking someone to bring fresh and innovative ideas and coaching techniques to our program.

Selection Criteria - Desired Skills, Attributes and Expectations:

 Previous experience as Head Coach or Assistant Coach at a senior representative level

 NCAS Level One Accreditation or equivalent

 Willingness to adapt to the workings of the uniquely run program at MUBC

 Ability to recruit high level players as required

 Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Big V processes and policies

 Attendance at all training sessions, games and tournaments

 Willingness to work cooperatively with the MUBC committee and coaches

 Willingness to work cooperatively with Melbourne University Sport administration

 Participation in MUBC’s domestic level program

 Ability to lead, train and communicate with players in a disciplined, professional and constructive manner

 Demonstrated passion for basketball

 Willingness to share coaching philosophies and knowledge

Please note that Melbourne University Basketball Club is a volunteer run organisation however remuneration for the position is negotiable.
